This script uses web_search to automatically fetch the DynDNS server info URLs, and then while loop through them. Each line from stdout is checked for lines starting with "->" (indicating an update), or "OK:" (if it hasn't found any updates). If either occurs, its output will be appended as an outgoing message (an "update message").
You should replace '[SILENT]' in the final echo command with "[RECEIVED]" to send a receipt.
Please note that this process needs access to a DynDNS internet service. Please ensure you're allowed byDynDNS to fetch and update their servers, or set up your hermes account properly.
Always test commands like these separately, without triggering an actual run as scheduled cron jobs. And be sure of the output format expected from dyndns.py (as shown here), and adjust according if necessary.
