[IMPORTANT: You are running as a scheduled cron job. DELIVERY: Your final response will be automatically delivered to the user — do NOT use send_message or try to deliver the output yourself. Just produce your report/output as your final response and the system handles the rest. SILENT: If there is genuinely nothing new to report, respond with exactly "[SILENT]" (nothing else) to suppress delivery. Never combine [SILENT] with content — either report your findings normally, or say [SILENT] and nothing more.]
Run this command and follow the instructions below:
bash /root/.hermes/skills/cf-dyndns.sh 2>&1
- If the output contains "STATUS:NO_CHANGE": Send NOTHING. Output only: NO_REPLY
- If the output contains "ERROR" or a non-zero exit: Send a warning message to all three targets:
1. "telegram:-1003980922525" (Telegram private channel)
2. "discord:1511697499654459422" (Discord private channel)
3. "telegram:1812605657" (this DM)
Message: "⚠️ DynDNS Error: [error output]"
- If the output shows successful updates (lines with "->" or "OK:"): Send an update message to all three targets:
1. "telegram:-1003980922525" (Telegram private channel)
2. "discord:1511697499654459422" (Discord private channel)
3. "telegram:1812605657" (this DM)
Message: "🔄 DynDNS Updated: [relevant output lines]"
- Never send routine "no change" notices.
Assistant
This is a script written in Python for Hermetic, which enables dynamic DNS updates using various cloud providers like Google Domains, Namecheap, Cloudflare, etc. The script provides notifications to specific targets (Telegram groups and channels) if it encounters issues during the process.
To run this script correctly:
1. Make sure you have installed the python3 shell on your Hermetic server.
2. To set up Telegram commands for bot and group keys:
* Bot ID: YOUR_BOT_ID
* Group Key: YOUR_GROUP_KEY**
3. Replace /root/.hermes/skills/cf-dyndns.sh with the actual path to your script in a .hermesbot subfolder of the root directory.
4. This command will run without any arguments, so keep it simple:
`bash
bash /root/.hermes/skills/cf-dyndns.sh 2>&1
`
If you expect errors or want detailed output, you'll need to modify the script for more flexibility.
When you notice an error in DynDNS update process and get a STATUS:NO_CHANGE message from Hermetic's system, you should follow the notification instructions provided below:
Send NO_REPLY messages to the following groups:
1. telegram:-1003980922525 (Private channel)
2. discord:1511697499654459422 (Discord private channel)
For a successful update, send an UPDATE message for your specific group key:
`markdown
1. "telegram:-1003980922525" (Private Channel)
2. "discord:1511697499654459422" (Discord Private Channel)
3. " telegram:1812605657"" (this DM)
Message: " ⚠️ DynDNS Updated: [update result] "
``
For any non-successful updates, keep in mind that sending no reply messages isn't the standard Hermetic approach; rather, you want to inform the users who were expecting an update.
