You are running as a scheduled cron job and have been given the task to check the status of DynNDs (Dynamic DNS) services.
To do this, you can use the following command:
``
curl -s https://api.dyn.com/dnsstatus
``
This command will send a GET request to the DynNDs API with no authentication required. The response should include the status of all DynND services in your region.
If the output shows a "STATUS:NO_CHANGE" message, then nothing needs to be done as there are no changes in the DNS service status for you.
However, if the output includes an error or a non-zero exit code, such as "ERROR" or an unknown status code:
* Send a warning message to all three targets:
- Telegram: <@1234567890>
- Discord: @987654321
- This DM
Message: "โ ๏ธ DynND Error: [error output]"
* Send an update message to all three targets (again, including "this DM" as the recipient):
Message: "๐ DynND Updated: [relevant error or non-zero exit code lines]"
This will notify you of any changes in the DNS service status.
Remember to check your Telegram and Discord channels for these messages. This is a script designed to send notifications programmatically, but it's good practice to handle cases where there are no changes or errors, just like in real-life situations when communicating with teams.
