**Patience** and **tolerance** are related but distinct:

**Key distinction:** Patience is *enduring the pace of something*. Tolerance is *enduring the nature of something*.
You can be patient with someone you tolerate, or tolerate someone you have no patience for โ they don't always come together.
In short: patience is about **waiting well**. Tolerance is about **accepting difference**.
